Ontario Association of Black Paralegals (OABP)
Access to Mentorship, Representation and Justice
OABP's goal is to improve access to justice and combat systemic racism within the justice system by equipping Black paralegals and law clerks with the tools to navigate systemic injustice in the workplace. We provide mentorship opportunities that will help build capacity within the Black legal community by promoting career equality and advancement. In addition, we equip all legal professionals with the tools to recognize, bring awareness to and ultimately combat systemic inequality in the justice system.
OABP seeks to provide improved and increased access to justice to racialized clients by eliminating economic barriers that inhibit their ability to pursue civil matters related to racism, discrimination, diversity and inclusion.
