
ABOUT ME
Deborah J. Moriah, Licensed Paralegal

Deborah was licensed by the Law Society of Ontario in March 2016. She obtained an honours Paralegal Ontario College Graduate Certificate from Centennial College in 2015. Prior to her career in legal services, she obtained aN honours degree in Professional Writing and Communications Studies from York University in 2009 and continues to work as a freelance writer and editor.
Since becoming a paralegal, Deborah has worked in several different areas of law including personal injury, provincial offences, immigration, small claims, Social Justice Tribunals (Human Rights, Social benefits, criminal injuries compensation) and consumer protection.
Deborah is also a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Professional and EDI Consultant providing systems reviews and developing EDI education workshops for a variety of agencies and organizations within the public and private sectors. She currently serves on the board of directors for Legal Aid Ontario.
Deborah is co-founder, president and chair of the Ontario association of Black Paralegals.
